During your checkup, Dr. Howe or Dr. Donnelly will assess the integrity of your existing dental work and scan your teeth for decay with our non-invasive DIAGNOdent DIAGNOdent A (Dental Technology) laser. If you need a new filling, we'll tint a small amount of composite resin to match your tooth enamel, then bond it into your prepared cavity to beautifully renew your smile. Composite resin is strong, long-lasting, and resistant to decay, so your smile will be strengthened and protected for years to come.
Many patients choose to replace amalgam (metal) fillings with tooth-colored restorations because of safety concerns or deterioration. Our dentists gently remove metal fillings and then safely extract potentially harmful compounds with an amalgam separator before disposing of the metal.
